The Mummy Tag

Hi Lovelies,

Hope you are all well.

I recently came across the 'Mummy Tag' and thought why not do one myself. Plus it gives you all a chance to be nosey and give you an insight in my life as a mummy to two little toddlers!
.

1. Are you a Stay at Home Mum, or a Working Mum?

I am currently a stay at home mum, I left work when my eldest was born three years ago and myself and my husband made the decision that it was best I stayed at home with them until they were full time at school.

2. Would you have it any other way?

Honestly speaking? no, I love my routine at home with the kids, I am with them all the time and I strongly believe this will have such a positive influence on them when they are older, Id like to think that they can say their mummy looked after them well rather than being in a nursery that cost the earth. That's not to say I do not miss my job, I miss it loads and wish I could work to help my husband out financially however as a parent, I guess there are certain sacrifices you need to make.

3. Do you co sleep?

When my eldest was teething, he slept best next to me in our bed so to this day, I still put him to bed like this and then move him to his bed. Both the kids still sleep in our rooms, ideally they would have their own rooms each (being a boy and a girl) howvever thanksfully we do not get much disruption at night so it is not an issue for us, plus I hate the idea of them being alone especially in the winter.

4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?

For both my kids it was definitely their baby swing, it was a god damn lifesaver! we used it a lot and replaced many batteries, but it meant I could get some housework done and they would nap well in the afternoon until they grew out of it.

5. How many kids do you plan on having?

Neither of my kids were planned so in that sense we feel very very blessed. having two 11 months apart is a big challenge yet so fulfilling at the same time. If its meant for me, truthfully speaking I would like just one more in the next year or so, no preference whether its a boy or girl.

Date night? How many nights per month?

Date night? What is that haha! The kids come with us everywhere we go even if it means slamming cutlery and pulling the tablecloth in a restaurant. We sneak in some quality time together when we go to London and see my parents and sisters, perhaps if my parents lived closer, we would love to have a date night once a month.

7. Your childs favourite show?

The kids love anything on cbeebies! try getting them to sit still and watch an entire episode though!

8. Name one thing you bought before you had your baby and never ended up using?

The Winnie the pooh cot mobile. I loved the idea of winding it up and the projector lights on the wall yet they both used to sleep as soon as their head hit their pillows so got zero use out of it.

9. Your child’s favourite food?

My kids have quite a few favourite foods but berries, cucumber and tomatoey pasta is definitely high on the list.

10. How many cars does your family have?

One as it is cheaper to run. I do wish we had two though, definitely would make life easier.

11. Weight gain before pregnancy, during and after and now?

Both time round I put on nearly 2.5/3 stones.!  Still have a stone more to lose to get back to my pre pregnancy weight.

12. Dream holiday with your kids?

Definitely Disneyland Florida. I went as a kid and loved it so much so I definitely want to take my two there. Id probably wait till they're a lot older though so they can understand it and enjoy it more.

13. Dream holiday without your kids?

Dream holiday kids free sounds bliss anywhere really.! A week in Maldives or Dubai or an all inclusive week holiday in Sharm, truthfully speaking, when it comes to it, I don't think I could ever leave them fir a whole week.

14. How has your life changed since your baby has been born?

The minute you becaome a parent, your life changes massively. You cannot be selfish and self centred as you have dependants, plus you learn to juggle, love and make sacrifices in life and naturally, your life changes for the better.

15. Finish the sentence: 'It makes my heart melt to see …

My two babies turning into loving, wonderful, smart human beings. When they reach out for a kiss and a cuddle too.

16. Where do you shop for your kids?

Many different places. Primark, H&M, Matalan and George.

17. Favourite makeup and skincare products?

Have far too many to list!

18. Huggies or Pampers?

Huggies all the way.

19. Have you always wanted kids?

Yes of course, I believe every girl deep down wants to have children some day. Ideally, I would have loved to have owned my own home and perhaps climb the career ladder first but I suppose you cannot get perfect timing in everything in life.

20. Best part about being a mum?

Seeing your kids mould into how/what you teach them and the unconditional love. Yes there are days where I simply want to rip out my hair, but they both always bring a smile to my face.

I now tag all your lovely yummy mummies out there. Be sure to leave your links below so I can check it out.

Bye for now, love and lipstick xxx
